COVID-19 New office Procedures

We hope this finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our regular habits and routines.
At Smile Sonrisa Dental and Orthodontics, our primary goal is to provide the best possible care to our patients and their families in Houston and all surrounding areas. Our dedication to providing the best dental care is as resolute as ever.
With that in mind, we can assure you that we are working hard to follow guidelines from local and federal authorities in implementing strict safety protocols to offer all of our professional services to you and your family in the safest way possible.

However, we cannot do this by ourselves. Each of us plays a vital role in stopping the spread and keep each other healthy. Therefore, we need your help and commitment as a patient to maximize safety by adhering to some changes we have made in our procedures when it is time for your next appointment.
You may notice that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines or children’s toys since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect. Allowing for social distancing between patients might mean that you will be offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment. We will do our best to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.

We made these changes to help protect our patients and our staff, and we ask that you follow them.

Our new safety requirements are as follows:

  • Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some COVID-19 screening questions before confirming your appointment. You will be asked those same questions again when you are in the office.
  •  Arrive on time (neither early nor late) to your appointment.
  •  More than 15 minutes delay, your appointment will be rescheduled.
  •  If feeling sick or have any unusual symptoms, please stay home and call your doctor.
  •  Following the requirements of The Houston Mayor Office, any patient and companion 10 years of age or older must wear a face-covering while in our clinic.
  • Smile Sonrisa Dental & Orthodontics office limits only 1 companion or parent per patient. All other companions must wait outside the premises or in the car.
  • Be prepared to have yours and your companion’s temperature taken.
  • Sanitize your hands upon arrival.
  •  Maintain social distancing during your visit.
  •  Parents, please report to the front office if other young children will be accompanying you.
  •  Sit in the designated locations in the office’s waiting areas (Kids, Adults, and Orthodontics)

We are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. To make an appointment, please call
